This project entailed the complete re-cladding of a deteriorated 1970s office building in Wayland, Massachusetts, the construction of a new central lobby area and space planning and design of several new tenant offices. The project used an insulated cladding system with banding and rustication, introduced to work with the low horizontal design of the existing structure. A structural steel and glass canopy was developed to provide a clear entry to the building, which prior had been ambiguous. The lobby was designed to work axially with the new canopy, using simple materials in a detailed manner.
