Providence on Newbury

Located on Newbury Street in Boston's historic Back Bay, four 1880s brick buildings originally designed by G. Wilton Lewis, were renovated into mixed-use residential and retail condominiums.  Meyer & Meyer meticulously restored the building’s fine details and seamlessly integrated modern-day amenities, including 16 rear yard parking spaces to benefit the building's mixed-use. The center residential entry is defined from adjacent retail stores and commercial entries through the use of landscape plantings. The exterior features Hungarian limestone curbs and stairs, a herringbone brick pattern, wrought iron fence, and a restored gable with sandstone and brick to match the adjacent 290 Newbury Street. Six new luxury residential condominiums were designed with oak floors, Carrera marble, and stainless steel gourmet kitchens. The building features elevator access and a new interior lobby.
