Balinese Suite
An unexpected treasure within a 1920s Tudor-style home, this master suite was inspired by the homeowner’s love of Bali, and ancient Hindu royalty. Meyer & Meyer created a master suite consisting of a bedroom, large walk-in closets, and bathroom with an adjacent yoga area. Incorporated into the design are historic Balinese details complemented with architectural elements, sculpture, wood carvings, and other artifacts collected on the owner’s travels. This project won a 2009 Prism Award and a 2011 Dream Home Award — both for Best Bathroom Renovation. Simultaneously, a first-floor family room was renovated along with basement space, which transformed un-utilized storage to become a wine tasting room with dining facilities and humidified storage for wine collections.
