Champlain Lakehouse

Meyer and Meyer was tasked with designing a modest lake house set on an elevated ledge peninsula overlooking Lake Champlain.

The design of the home creates fully accessible, comfortable, open spaces which situate themselves to maximize natural light. The dramatic views of the lake are best seen from the large deck overhanging the rocky shore but year round scenes are visible from inside the floor to ceiling windows. Materials include standing seam metal roofing, natural tree trunk posts, knotty white pine siding, and local Vermont field stone.
