Clients want a close working relationship with their designers. They often refer to us as ‘their’ architect, as if we belong to them. We see it that way too, we share their personal attachment to their project. We formalize their dream and become their ‘inner architect.’ “

Laura Brooks Meyer, Principal Interior Designer and co-founder of Meyer & Meyer, Inc.  has more than 35 years of interior design and space-planning experience. She works closely with her clients to ensure smooth collaboration between architectural and interior objectives. Her expertise includes interior design and management for a wide range of residential, institutional, and corporate projects.

Laura’s approach is to listen carefully to clients and integrate their ideas with her own years of experience. She offers what she thinks are the most ideal solutions- including some the client may not have considered. As a professional, she believes designers have a responsibility to exceed their clients’ expectations and find the most satisfying approach. “And nine times out of ten, clients choose what we suggest, which is often far from what they initially thought they wanted.”

Laura has extensive knowledge of interior finishes and furnishings and is conversant with the most current materials offered. Laura is in charge of preparing design options and furniture layouts, as well as coordinating architectural features.  She directly manages all programming, space planning, code compliance, construction documents, and finishes. Her services include decorative finishes, furniture, lighting, built-ins, artwork and accessories. She is knowledgeable about a wide range of historical and contemporary styles and has worked on all of the firm’s award-winning projects.
