Renovation of this historic church
was executed in several phases to minimize disruption. A new elevator was installed at the entry foyer and there was extensive reworking of the lower level to provide multi-use function and community rooms. All-new ecclesiastic features for the Baptismal font, Eucharistic shrine, altar table, lectern, and presider’s chair were all custom-designed by John Meyer. Newly implemented liturgical changes resulted in the need to remake barrier railings and rebuild spacing of original pews for better access and comfort. Original murals and decorative paintings were discovered and restored. All new lighting, air conditioning, and sound systems were installed.
