The existing home was a raised ranch built in 1960,
with multiple additions over time. The owners came to Meyer and Meyer looking for a Classical style home that would fit more comfortably within the site and neighborhood. By reshaping the roofline, recladding the exterior, adding a new front entry and a garage and master suite addition, the look of the home was completely transformed. New gabled roofs and dormers, as well as more refined exterior details give the home the cosmetic ‘face-lift’ the owners were looking for. All new insulation was installed to meet current building codes, making all of the living spaces much more comfortable. The interior spaces were reconfigured to create large, open spaces with better flow for modern family living. A brand new kitchen, breakfast nook, and family room create a spacious living area for the family that opens up to the view of their backyard.
