they called upon Meyer & Meyer knowing that the task would be treated with design detailing respectful of the existing structure. New automated glass doors were desired for ease of entry by owners. To maintain the building’s elegant street presence, custom ironwork was added to the sides of the glass doors to emulate gates similarly seen at residences decades ago. The crumbling marble tile steps were replaced with solid granite slabs and new handrails for safety were added. The new lighting pendant’s design was a replica of an old English fixture providing the elegance desired.
