These lifelong Newton residents
knew their house lacked the curb appeal of its Chestnut Hill neighbors, and after a damaging fire on the back deck of their house decided to have the home redesigned into a Colonial Revival style. The renovation involved replacing the entire main body of the house, revising the roof proportions and window layout, as well as adding a front entry portico. The intention was to preserve the footprint of the house as much as possible while designing a more historically appropriate home that is reflective of the neighborhood’s period homes.
